St. Joseph’s Convent Higher Secondary School is a Catholic Institution
established by the CHURCH. Its administration is presently entrusted by the Catholic Diocese of
Asansol to the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) which runs well established schools in India.
The Institution was established in the year 1952 under the rights and powers granted to religious and linguistic minorities by the Constitution of India (Art. 20 and 30). The Catholic Diocese of Asansol is the Founder Body in succession of this Institution.

It is second year in a row since the close down of schools nationwide and globally due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Unprecedented, unseen and unheard of - yes it is. The pandemic has augmented an extra layer of panic to the already stressful minds of the young learners because most learning is being done virtually from the safe ‘haven’ called home.

celebrating closing ceremony of its Diamond Jubilee on 19th & 20th December,
The Governor extends his felicitations and best wishes to all those assoiciated with the school and congratulates them on the occasion.
I am happy to learn that a souvenir will be released by the
management of St. Joseph’s Convent Higher Secondary School, Chittaranjan,
to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the institution.
I wish the endeavour all the very best and hope that the publication will help in enriching the literary and scientific persona of the students of the school.
I am glad to know that St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary
School is going to celebrate the closing ceremony of their Diamond Jubilee on
