Labour day
Every year May 1st is observed as the Labour Day or International Workers Day to celebrate and recognise the achievements, contributions and efforts of the workers.
To honour the tireless hard work and contribution of the support staff of our School, a short cultural program was conducted by the students of class X-A under the guidance of our honourable Principal and their class teacher on 30th April 2024 in the auditorium of our primary building. 1st May being a public holiday the celebration was anticipated.
The program began with invoking the Lord's blessings which was followed by the ceremony of acknowledging our 'didis & bhaiyyas' with an uttoriyo and a small gift as a token of love and appreciation. The students put up a beautifully choreographed dance that celebrated the importance of workers in our daily life. Sr Principal's speech in Hindi about the constant efforts and dedication of our support staff resonated the thought that “ No human Masterpiece was created without the involvement of great labour”.
While there are many quotes associated with Labour Day - but “without labour nothing prospers" by Sophocles perhaps highlighs the true essence and importance of working class in our daily life.
