The most important thing about being a teacher is that it gives an opportunity to connect with a wide variety of students and in turn help them connect with their own selves and choose their own path.To acknowledge the immense contribution of the teachers towards giving shape to the young minds,a day is set aside to celebrate this noble profession and the people associated with it. This day is 5th of September, and in India this day is celebrated as Teachers day every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Radhakrishnan who was a teacher par excellence besides being a well known diplomat and a scholar. 5th of September also Mark's the death anniversary of the humble, generous and noble soulful of Mother Teresa. She showed the world that the power of selfless love and service is greater than anything else in the world.
The young Josephites paid the tribute to their mentors through this beautiful and well coordinated programme, which was well presented with items like, a dance competition, a skit, medley of performances and a speech by an inspirational speech by Rev Fr Arbind.
The bright and meaningful programme presented by our students together from both CBSE and ICSE under the table guidance of Sr.Priyanka Principal of CBSE, Sr. Asha Agnes ,Principal of ICSE and Primary in-charge Sr Pushpa displayed the capability and showcased the skills of the budding stars of the Josephite family. Students welcomed our dear teachers and sisters who were our guests of honour with tilak and flowers. A welcome song, accompanied by a dance performance set the tone for the smooth conduction of our programme, and helped in creating a good ambience.
It was followed by a skit, beautifully conducted by the students who highlighted the importance of teachers in shaping a student's life. Students also presented before the teachers a delightful dance performance, filled with graceful movements and gestures as tribute to their hardwork. The program was concluded with the vote of thanks.
