Award Reward Day (03rd Feb 2018)
Schools celebrate students in dozens of different ways, but honouring their academic and non academic accomplishments at the end of each academic session is perhaps the most awaited celebrations of all.
Awards are given not only to celebrate the achievements of the students but awards are a way to encourage a sense of competitive spirit and a zeal for learning.SJCHSS, celebrated its award reward function especially for the students of classes 10 and 12,on 3rd of February,2018.
The program started with a small introduction followed by the welcoming of “the guest of the day”, and a short prayer. The chief guest of the day was none other than our ex-student Kaustav Sen, Who brought accolades to the school by not only breaking past all records of the school in the ICSE 2017 Exams but has also made a new record ,thus setting a new target for the upcoming batches.
Whatever the students have achieved so far could never have been possible without the constant endeavour of the teachers-these were the words quoted by master Kaustav Sen in his short speech which was followed by the distribution of non academic excellence awards in various categories like-inter house debate competition, extempore competition, inter house quiz competition and Sports and then the academic excellence awards. But before the awards and the names of the winners were announced the audience was entertained with a beautiful recitation by a student of class VII,a rhythmic dance number by the students of class VIII and a meaningful skit jointly performed by students of classes VII and IX.
The inspirational discourse given extemporaneously by the honourable Principal Dr. Sr. Shwetha B.S. was truly splendid.
The program came to an end with words of thanks spelled out by the students of class XI.
