A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Both ICSE & CBSE wings of St. Joseph's Convent Higher Secondary School, Chittaranjan took yet another magnificent step towards its mighty journey as it celebrated the Annual Day " TARANG - IGNITING DREAMS EMPOWERING FUTURE ' on 19th December, 2023.
The spectacular evening witnessed the presence of eminent personalities like Rev. Bishop Elias Frank as the Chief Guest of the day and others like Sr. Divya - Provincial Superior of Eastern Province, Mr Birendra Kumar IG- PCSC RPF CLW/ CRJ along with his wife, Mrs. and Mr. Uttam Kumar Maity Deputy GM- CLW / CRJ, School Secretary Fr. Arvind and Parish Priest Fr Arul as the guests of honours.
Many eminent dignitaries and the principals of neighbouring schools were also present on this momentous occasion. All the students and their parents were invited to be a part this annual day function.
The program started at 4.00 p.m. in the evening with prayer and the lighting of the Diya by the special guests. Students of both ICSE and CBSE delivered a strong message through a musical drama "The day Internet died" in two parts. The play was an eye opener for today's generation that we must spend more time with our family and friends than to just stick to our mobile phones and Internet.
Sr Priyanka CSST, Principal of St Joseph's Convent High School, CBSE and Sr Asha CSST, Principal ICSE wing presented the annual report for the session 2023-2024. The motivational speech Of Rev Bishop Elias Frank inspired and encouraged everyone present for the grand celebration.
It's the Christmas season and the students presented a beautiful display of another heart wrenching drama - A Christmas Carol- a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' Novella to celebrate Christmas in a unique manner.
The mind-blowing performance was highly appreciated and got much praise from the audience. The parents kept cheering for their children who were performing on the stage. Sr Manjrela proposed the vote of thanks extending her warm regards to everyone present at the Annual Day function.
After three hours of grand performance by the students, the program ended with the grand finale and National Anthem. The entire program was indeed a treat to the eye. The Journey that began one fine day way back in the month of September finally came to a grand end on 19th December. It was the unending hard work, collaboration and the team spirit of all the teachers and the students, that made this dream of annual day extravanza into a reality.
