Patriotism can be defined as the love for one’s nation. Patriotism definitely brings in a sense of respect and loyalty and love and devotion towards one’s nation.
Keeping in tune with this thought our school organized a short cultural program on the occasion of 78th Independence Day. Students from classes VI - X participated in the program with utmost zeal and enthusiasm.
The main purpose behind organizing such program is not only to instill the patriotic values among the students but also to make the students realize that our country’s battle for independence and the sacrifices made by our martyrs does not remain confined only to our history books.
Our students by participating in this program once again proved that their nationalistic feelings were not merely restricted to the boundaries of their text books, rather they proved that if given an opportunity they would be able to demonstrate their feeling for the nation in every possible way.
The program started with a small prayer service followed by the hoisting of our national flag by the chief guest of the day Fr.Linus, who despite his busy schedule, consented to grace this occasion with his benign presence. The students of all the four houses displayed a beautifully coordinated walk in the form of March Past that showcased team spirit , unity coherence and coordination.
The tiny tots from our primary section displayed an amazing dance number that displayed India's diversity in unity. The seniors also presented a beautifully choreographed number which was a treat to the eyes displaying India's achievements and accolades won in different fields so far. The program ended with Fr Linus' words of motivation which was followed by the vote of thanks.
