Independence Day Celebration (15th August 2018)
72nd Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2018 in the premises of St. Joseph’s Convent Higher Secondary School. The staff and students of the school were filled with patriotic fervour and nationalistic zeal. Mr. Abhishek Ranjan Sinha, an ex- student of the school and presently the Manager of Bank of Baroda, Mihijam Branch, graced the occasion as the chief guest and hoisted the National Flag.
A short colourful cultural programme followed the flag- hoisting. Students of class VII A, B and C began the programme with a short prayer. It was followed by a musical ballet depicting different facets of our glorious freedom struggle. The audience were spell bound at the beautiful performance of our youngsters. Our students enthused the audience with Nationalistic Sentiments and Patriotic spirit through role plays, poetry recital, dances and songs.
Finally, the programme ended with students of class VI, and the staff members heading towards the Oval Ground for the common programme of CLW.
